France: National Interprofessional Agreement (ANI) 19 October 2012 on the ‘Generation contract”

On 19 October 2012, French social partners, excepted CGT, have adopted the National Interprofessional Agreement on the 'Generation contract", one of the core initiatives aimed at combating high levels of unemployment proposed during this year’s presidential election campaign in France.
The goal is to combine job-creation for young people aged between 16 and 25 with a drive to keeper older workers aged 57 and over in active employment.
