IR Doc is a multilingual resource centre providing document on labour law and industrial relations at European Union and Member State level, including collective agreements concluded by the social partners at European, sectoral and transnational company level.
European Works Council
Here you will find all the European and national legislation that applies to European Works Councils (EWC), as well as studies, reports and, most importantly, the agreements establishing EWCs, their addenda and all kinds of texts provided to us by the social partners.
European Companies (SE)
Here you will find European and national legislation applicable to SE Works Councils (SE-WC), studies, reports and, most importantly, the agreements establishing SE-WCs, their addenda and all kinds of texts adopted by SE-WCs, provided to us by the social partners.
European Social Dialogue
Social dialogue refers to “discussions, consultations, negotiations and joint actions involving organisations representing the social partners – employers and workers”. Here, we provide the “fruits” of the different levels of social dialogue.
Industrial relations
Industrial relations covers interaction and social dialogue between organisations representing workers and employers. Here, you will find mainly documents related to industrial relations issues at European level and company level.
Case-law
In this section you will find mainly European and national case law relating to European Works Councils and SE Works Councils, but you will also find links to other sources of documentation.

Here you will find the texts of the European Directives on European Works Councils and the European Company, as well as a number of labour law directives adopted in recent years.

What type of documents are available in IR Doc?
IR Doc offers a variety of documents related to industrial relations in Europe. The database includes agreements (mainly of European Works Council, SE Works Councils…), legislation, case-law, reports, studies… Together, these resources provide a comprehensive overview of social dialogue, employment relations, and industrial relations practices in Europe.
How can I search the database?
You can currently search IR Doc by topic (European Works Councils, legislation, case law, etc.).
Within each topic, you can filter by year, country or language. The results are displayed in chronological order for easier navigation.
You can also search using a keyword or company name, directly in the search bar.
Are all documents publicly accessible?
Can I contribute to IR Doc: submit documents, report an error or missing document?
Yes.
IR Share encourages community contributions. If you find a missing document, detect an error, or wish to share an agreement, please contact us.
For instance, if your European Works Council agreement is not yet listed in our database, you are warmly welcome to send us a copy (in several languages if available). All submissions are carefully reviewed by our team to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and consistency of the database.
How does IR Share verify the authenticity of documents?
IR Share ensures the authenticity of its documents by closely and continuously monitoring European and national legislative and institutional developments in the field of industrial relations and social dialogue. Most agreements are sent directly to IR Share by one of the signatory parties, and all documents are checked.
