On 15 May, the European Commission announced the publication of a document entitled Heat at Work – Guidance for Workplaces, produced by the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work. This guide is intended to help companies to comply with the general principles governing workplace risk assessment and prevention. The European Trade Union Confederation believes that the Commission should now draw up binding rules and set maximum working temperatures (see press release).
