European Works Council agreement of Capio
The management of the Swedish healthcare group, Capio, (9,500 employees) and its European works council renegotiated their EWC agreement at their most recent plenary meeting held on 30 November. The new agreement offers, among many other improvements, stronger definitions of information and consultation.
The text of the agreement introduces the provisions of the revised directive of 2009. It assigns a key role to the select committee which "is entrusted with representing the first stage of the information and consultation process".
