Information document to prepare a resolution of the European Parliament on anticipation and management of restructuring
La résolution, préparée par le député européen espagnol Alejandro Cercas, contient le contenu de ce que pourraient être les principales dispositions d'une directive en la matière. Le texte sera présenté au vote de la commission emploi et affaires sociales du Parlement européen le 9 octobre prochain. Il repose sur la nouvel article 225 du traité qui permet au Parlement, à la majorité de ses membres, de demander à la Commission de présenter une proposition de directive dans les trois mois suivant l'adoption de la résolution. A défaut, la Commission doit expliquer pourquoi elle ne compte pas présenter une proposition de directive.
