Law “Florange”

The "Florange law" (loi visant à reconquérir l'économie réelle) has been definitively adopted by the Parliament and, from 1 April, it will impose a new obligation on businesses with at least 1,000 employees which wish to close an establishment to find a buyer. A company which fails to comply with this obligation could have to pay a penalty of up to 20 times the monthly value of the French minimum wage per job lost.
