Learning expedition for the SUEZ EWC

The first stage of the training, organised in May 2023, included a visit to the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) with a lively exchange with Christophe Lefevre, then to the European Parliament with a meeting with Dennis Radtke, author of the report on the revision of the European Works Council Directive, then with a speaker from the Parliament, Olivier Le Saëc, and MEP Leila Chaibi, committed to the issue of platform workers. There was also time for an informal exchange in the corridors with the secretary of the European Works Council, Christine Chiffre, before the participants finished by taking a plunge into the hemicycle! IR Share’s training course for the SUEZ European Works Council was also an opportunity for conviviality and team-building, with role-playing, presentations, workshops and lively exchanges with surprise guests: Jean-Philippe Charpentier, secretary of the Verizon European Works Council, and the inspiring Isabelle Ferreras, who warmed the hearts of employee representatives by analysing the European Works Council as an embryo of the bicameralism in business that she is calling for.
