On 21 and 22 April, CERBA’s Group Negotiation Team met to prepare its European Works Council (EWC) agreement.
The negotiation phase is crucial: it identifies the group’s needs, takes account of its specific characteristics, and defines the main elements to be included in the future agreement.
Among the issues covered was the group's presence in several European countries, each with its own models of social dialogue and collective bargaining systems.
The importance of anticipating changes relating to the new EWC Directive was also highlighted, in order to ensure an accord that is in line with developments in the European legislative framework.
The discussions with Franck Reinhold were particularly valuable. It gave the future members of the CERBA EWC the opportunity to ask questions and gain a better understanding of how a European Works Council operates and best practices.
A big thanks to the members of the GSN for their commitment, with active participation from representatives of several countries – Italy, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and France – thereby contributing to the successful running of the training session.
