FAQ

Is the training available online or in person? What training formats do you offer?

Training is available both online and in person, depending on participants’ preference and logistical needs. In-person sessions are often favoured for their interactive and collaborative benefits.
IR Share offers fully personalised training programmes tailored to the needs of each organisation, European Works Council or Special Negotiation Body.
Formats can include:

  • Trainings designed for engagement and interaction, instead of top-down delivery
  • Short sessions (1 day) or multi-day programmes
  • Online, in-person, or hybrid options
  • Through IR Share’s extensive network, the inclusion of specialised guest experts can be invited, remotely or in person, to provide practical insights and case studies.
How can EWC ask for funding for a training?

Under the current European Works Council Directive, training is not explicitly listed among the minimum rights of EWCs, only access to experts and meetings.

The funding of training by the company is therefore dependent on the EWC’s agreement negotiated with the management, as well as management’s cooperativeness. EWCs can also in some occasions coordinate with national works councils or trade unions to secure additional funding.

IR Share can support you in drafting or negotiating training proposals, so don’t hesitate to reach out and we will help.

What languages are available for training sessions?

All languages are available for training sessions to ensure every participant can engage effectively.

The IR Share team and training experts work primarily in English and/or in French. However, due to the multilingual nature of EWC/GSN, training sessions are simultaneously translated. IR Share collaborates with professional interpreters who are familiar with European industrial relations and social dialogue terminology, ensuring accuracy and fluency.

Is certification or accreditation available after completion?

Yes.

All participants receive an official IR Share Certificate of Completion at the end of their training. This certification can be shared on professional platforms such as LinkedIn.

Are training materials provided to participants? Do you provide post-training support or follow-up materials?

Yes.

The presentations and any other training materials are provided to participants.

Post-training support is available on request.

If your organisation wishes to include a follow-up session, evaluation report, or additional materials, IR Share will gladly tailor these services to your needs.
